From UK: Fly from London to Belgrade fairly cheaply then, you can get
flights from there by either JAT or Montenegro airlines for about €50 single. However, book well in advance.
- In summer there are direct flights by Montenegro Airlines from London to Tivat, maybe starting flights to Podgorica.
- In fact, the cheapest way here is via Dubrovnik in Croatia (e.g. €200 return with Thompson Air,
a bit more with BA, but a bit of a faff to get transport from Dubrovnik, you'd have to get the airport shuttle to Dubrovnik (35 kuna),
then the bus to Herceg Novi, then a bus to Niksic. Contact me for specifics.
- From anywhere else: send us an e-mail and I'll try to get
hold of info here in Montenegro.
- Visas: EU citizens don't need any visa now and can stay for up to 90 days.
Please check the Montenegrin Tourism Ministry for information about other countries
- You can get to Belgrade by train from many major European cities, like Vienna, Prague, Budapest, etc.
There is then a train from Belgrade and Novi Sad to Podgorica in Montenegro which goes either during
the day (€20) or overnight sleeper (€35) - prices for singles. I don't recommend the day train in summer
because of the heat, but the train gets booked up in advance.
