"Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations... May the favour of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us..."
Psalm 90:1,17a (NIV)
Prayer & Praise
- Summer teams - This has been one of our most busy summers in terms of activities and visiting teams. We are very thankful for all the good work that has been done, and it is really important to note how many churches are partnering with us in communicating the good news with the people of Niksic and beyond. More details below.
- Cornerstone visit - This was the first time we had a formal short-term team from my home church, Cornerstone Church, Nottingham, and it was a special priviledge to host them and enjoy getting to know some students/young people from there.
This month
- Student work - As students come back mid-September from their summer break, we plan to start a new semester of student meetings and events. Please pray for wisdom and energy.
Other stuff
- Busy Summer - After a visit in July by people from Faith Community Church, Oxnard, CA, who organised a children's holiday club, we had a team from UCCF, who, as last year, helped run a student camp, at the ski resort of Vucje. After that, we helped with the yearly Camp Monty, and the team from Cornerstone joined us two days later for a 10-day stay.
- Beer making - I'm currently experimenting with home beer brewing - the first batch of Yorkshire Bitter met with general approval, probably mainly because of the novelty factor.
