Nikšić Biblical Christian Church

I am a member of this reformed church in the town of Nikšić which gathers local believers. We are a protestant church, but worshippers of all traditions and backgrounds are welcome.

Church services and meetings

Sunday/Lord's Day services, in the church building at Narodne omladine 26.

  • 10:00 Morning worship service
  • 18:00 Evening worship service

The morning and evening services are different, with different series running in mornings (currently Paul's letter to the Colossians) and evenings (currently a series on discipleship). The Lord's Supper is shared on the first Sunday of the month in the morning. There is a church lunch at the pastor's house on the last Sunday of every month, and no evening service that Sunday.

For non-Montenegrin speakers, an English translation can be provided upon request.

Prayer meetings - 18:30 Thursdays, at different houses - contact for details.

The official church website is www.hriscanstvo.org, in the local language. Here you can find an archive of all videoed sermons, with links to the entire services on YouTube and Facebook.

I am one of the elders. If you would like to attend any of our meetings, feel free to turn up, or contact me for help finding the church premises. I am also responsible for the church's internet presence and technical side.

EUS Christian union movement

Talking to students about Christianity and Christian ethics has always been something I'm excited about, because many university students are asking fundamental questions for the first time, and with this period being a transition towards adult, independent life, it is good for students to be able to talk about these things in an atmosphere of acceptance. The focus of the CU movement is the Bible, rather than church customs and history, and in our Bible studies we open up the source of Christian teaching and show people how to understand the things recorded in the Bible.

I am an unpaid volunteer for EUS and am on the organisation's board.

EUS (Evangelical Union of Students) has its premises at Staro pazarište 6 (opposite side of building to café Casa mia nuovo), and our regular meetings are:

  • Monday 19:00: Female students' Bible study (Nikšić)
  • Tuesday 18:00: Bible study for all students (Podgorica - held at the Lighthouse Church)
  • Wednesday 19:00: Bible study for all students (Nikšić)

We also have an English language club on Fridays at 11:30 which is free of charge and open to anyone. Usually we meet in a café.

If you are a student and would like to meet with one of us to talk, read the Bible, pray, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Among the annual events that we organise are:

  • Camp Monty - a sports camp for young people (age 6-18) held in the second half of July in the town of Niksic at sports grounds/courts/halls, with coaching expertise given. Sports usually include football (soccer), tennis, basketball and volleyball, although this may vary depending on personnel. The sports take place during the morning, then there are English language workshops in the afternoon (lunch is not provided), and in the evening there is a fun programme, which includes Christian talks, as well as an outdoor concert in front of the Robna kuca.
  • Operation Christmas Child - a humanitarian action that happens at the end/beginning of the year, where Christmas gifts that have been donated by Christians in other European countries are distributed to children aged 2-14 along with a talk about the true meaning of Christmas. This action is supported by the charity Samaritan's Purse.
